Zimbabwe’s newly introduced pageant, Zimbabwe Miss Tourism World successfully recorded its first event on Tuesday in support of domestic tourism, BusinessMail Showbiz reports.
Last month, pageant lovers were introduced to Zimbabwe Miss Tourism World in support of the recently launched Visit Zimbabwe Promotion Campaign by the government which seeks to leverage the tourism sector to market the country as a premier tourist destination.
The event came to life yesterday which was hosted by 247 entertainment in collaboration with the newly licensed television station Channel D, under the theme “Promoting Brand Zimbabwe, Unmasking the Zimbabwean Beauty”.
The crowned queen for Zimbabwe Miss Tourism World 2020 is Sakhile Dube(24), Dorothy Bhebhe 1st princess, and Onesimo Nkomo 2nd princess.
Speaking at the event, 247 entertainment General Manager, Tapfumaneyi Vivian Banhire said this event will be the first in the Modelling Industry in promoting domestic tourism.
“The winner of the Pageant is going to be the Country’s brand ambassador at the International Finals to be hosted by Golden International Corporation this year in China.
“The winner that has been crowned today will be promoting the recently launched Visit Zimbabwe Campaign and marketing Zimbabwe as a premier tourist destination,” he said.
