Science and Advanced Global Innovation Technologies (SAGIT) will host the Zimbabwe’s biggest Innovation, Science and Technology symposium, Atlas Convention 2021.
The convention will be running from 5-7 May under the theme “Igniting Infinite Possibilities”, it will be an annual requiring, integrated national-innovation technology symposium.
It will converge experts from all economic sectors on sustainable development, innovation-driven and private sector led economic transformation.
It will feature high profile speakers such as Minister of Higher and Tertiary Education, Science and Technology Development Amon Murwira and Smart Africa Director General Lacina Kone.
Murwira who is Patron of the Atlas Convention said the convention is a very strategic platform to bridge industry and academia as well as act as a spring board for economic transformation.
The move by Ministry of Higher and Tertiary Education, Science and Technology Development and Science and Advanced Global Innovation Technologies is an example of the much anticipated Public Private Partnerships.
The Atlas Convention seeks to further open up and enhance the innovation space by driving economic development through innovation.
Lacina Kone will deliver a keynote speech on economic transformation at continental level and context in line with the vision of Smart Africa of transforming the continent into one digital market.
The convention is in line with the attainment of Vision 2030, “Zimbabwe becoming an upper economic middle-income economy.”
