Africa’s largest certified seed company, Seed Co International Limited has migrated its electronic shares from Chengetedza Depository Company(CDC) Limited to Victoria Falls Stock Exchange Depository (VFEX), BusinessMail has learned.
Seed Co recently migrated shares from the Zimbabwe Stock Exchange (ZSE) to the newly established hard currency-denominated Offshore Financial Services Centre stock exchange, the VFEX.
Minister of Finance and Economic Development Professor Mthuli Ncube recently announced the restored fungibility of Seed Co International Limited’s shares between the VFEX and the Botswana Stock Exchange (BSE).
In a statement by Seed Co’s company secretary, Terrence Chimanya said that the migration was in effected from the 11th of November 2020.
The migration was made mandatory in terms of section 8 of SI196 of 2020.
“Shareholders and the investing public are advised to contact their custodians, stockbrokers or Registrars to update and verify their new Depository and account details as well as to update their banking details including the Nostro FCA Bank Account,” Chimanya said.
