Zimbabwe Tourism Authority (ZTA) Head of Corporate Affairs Godfrey Chris Koti shines at the prestigious awards ceremony hosted by Marketers Association of Zimbabwe (MAZ) as he crowned the third runner up in Inyanga last week.
Esther Masunda nominated the PR Practitioner of the Year while Patricia Murambinda, the Delta Corporation Head Corporate Affairs emerged second runner-up.
The ceremony ran under the theme of Marketing 5.0: Reconfiguring Business in the new normal.
This award came at a time when ZTA was still celebrating the glory of the Visit Zimbabwe initiative introduced by Chief Koti.
Koti initiated the Visit Zimbabwe in which he brokered between Zimbabwe International Cricket and Zimbabwe Tourism Authority which got thumbs up from the head of state President Emmerson Mnangagwa.
Speaking to Business Mail Koti said that he feels delighted and very humbled to have been chosen among the best in the country.
“I owe this entire success to my team at the Zimbabwe Tourism Authority both the Public Relations department and the rest of the stuffers, my family, and above all I thank the Almighty for recognition,” he said.
“The profession has been viewed as a more technical kind of profession with less recognition. I would like to thank MAZ for recognizing our profession,” Koti said.
Koti is also the President of the Zimbabwe Institute Of Public Relations (ZIPR).
