Aldrian Harrison appointed member of AHA

It is a new dawn for Zimbabwean Hip Hop Awards founder and chief executive officer Aldrian “Beefy” Harrison as he has been appointed to join the esteemed team of African Hip Hop Awards (AHA) as Africa Hip Hop Deputy Commercial and Operations.

This was revealed in a press statement issued on the 5th of April 2021 by Platinum Events Productions Africa, who are patents of AHA.

For over a decade, Harrison has been promoting hip hop as well as grooming and assisting artists in his own capacity.

In an interview with BusinessMail Harrison said he is excited about the appointment and honoured to work with Africa’s elite and content creators.

“I am a very passionate guy about what I do and I feel I will contribute immensely to the Africa hip hop awards brand. I will deliver creativity, and leadership and look to add growth to the brand by creating sustainable business models for the company. But most of all growing the hip hop genre in Zimbabwe and across the continent,” Harrison said.

He has pioneered the Zim HipHop awards which are the first hip hop award show on the continent and the longest running music award show in the country. The brand has grown and gained recognition across Africa.

“I have also participated in some of the continents biggest music festivals as a speaker and won business accolades because of promoting the hip hop genre.

“My highlight was also when I was invited to be a guest speaker at Africa’s biggest music conference last year. At the Music Imbizo which took place in Durban but it was held virtually last year,” Harrison said.

Harrison bagged two Zimbabwe Business Awards in 2019, the entertainment brand of the year promoting youth arts culture and business man of the year in entertainment services excellence.

Africa HipHop Awards were officially launched in July 2017 in Zambia and they have received great endorsements from Africa industry big whips.
