Despite the challenges of Covid-19, Mathius Mhere launched a ten-track album titled ‘Talita Kumi’ in Harare on Sunday.
The ten tracks include Upenyu Hwarazaro, Tsunga Moyo ft Mudhara Bhosvo, Mumunda weEden, Driver Wehupenyu ft Blessing Shumba, Baba Namai to mention.
The album launch was his first show since lockdown and he did it for free as a Christmas gift to his fans at Harare Gardens.
Mhere collaborated with various artists which include Killer T, Blessing, Mudhara Bhosvo, Shumba, and other artists. The album encourages people to put their trust in God in times of difficulties.
Mhere has recorded about 7 albums since he ventured into the music industry, he has featured various musicians of different genres.
Brighton Parwaringira, who also performed at the launch left fans requesting for more with his contemporary gospel music, sungura, jazz and rhumba.
Parwaringira is an upcoming versatile gospel artiste, who recently launched a live DVD titled ‘Mwari Mubatsiri’ through Nash TV on the 28th of November 2020.
